M.O.B. Can’t Break Remix LP

Over the summer we got to hear M.O.B. release her track Can’t Break. A vibrant electro bass track for those chill summer nights. But with the warm seasons over we need newer music to keep us warm. In comes Zach Tha Rippa, Papa Skunk and Shadow The Machine Angel. With their support Can’t Break is revived for the winter and the coming new year with this remix album.

Zach The Rippa kept it chill on his approach adding a little trip to it with a psy-trance influence on the breakdown. Papa Skunk on the other hand goes in and heavy with his dubstep remix, keeping it live all the way through. Shadow all the while takes the minimalistic approach, keeping you on on your toes and dazed. Three incredible tracks just in time for a mini tour while as fans indulge on New Years mischief.

Kicking things off on NYE, M.O.B. unleashes new music for the new year. Mutually the first show of 2017 for the artist and Ever Evolved at the Cold Front in SubT right off Damen Blue Line Wicker Park. Showcasing local talent, after she procedes onwards. Opening up for RUN DMT on the short run and capping off Groundhogs Day. What a way to end and start a year!

Cofresi Frenzy

Ben Cofresi continues to challenge his creativity with his remixes. With a pattern of picking very popular and talented artists to recreate music from. Following Imogen Heap among the list of artists, Cofresi looked to more similar talents like James Blake and Bon Iver, who created the deeply beautiful tune I Need A Forest Fire. A track beautiful composed and yet Cofresi was able to redesign it and create a future bass track without hurting the quality of the original.

Turning to more familiar tunes. You may have heard this song serenading many playlists and radio stations. Alina Baraz seductive voice floating along Galimatias graceful melody Fantasy. Cofresi joins the many to remix the song but Ben has a talent on the drums that sticks out amongst others and he handles it well. If you are in Chicago this December 17th you can check out Cofresi work the drum pads and midi keys at the Bottom Lounge opening up for the Main Squeeze. In the meantime grab these tracks for free and play them loud.
